Creativity in the form of a SHORT STORY

When I am bored, I like to write, to come up with new stories that just seem to flow out of my brain. Once I get started, the words just seem to pour out of me. Are any of you like that? I think the world would be a very sad place if I was the only one who let her creativity flow freely. Creativity is was makes the world go round, what brings new things into people's lives! So BE CREATIVE!
Anyways, like I said, this happens to me frequently, and I just thought I would post an example of my creative juices. So please, read and enjoy. Though I should warn you, it may be a somewhat disturbing, creep-fest of a story.

Four walls, a ceiling, and a floor make up the room. All were once white, but now are stained with dried blood the color of browned rust. Flesh and bits of bone are scattered around haphazardly.
A man sits in the middle of the bare room. He wears nothing but a pair of shorts as his eyes dart frantically around the room looking for an exit like so many men before him. The musty, rotten smell that wafts through the air has him curling his nose in distaste. He is perspiring with fear.
The sole light in the room, which is set into the center of the ceiling, flickers and goes out, leaving the room in darkness.
For a second, all you can hear is the slight whimpering of the scared man from where he sits. Then, there is a rustling, grinding sound as the walls move. The room gets smaller and smaller, the walls coming together.
The man's scream echos around inside the empty room as the scraping of the walls against the floor seems to form one word over and over...
   Kill, it whispers.
   Then, there is silence.
The light flickers back on, and the room appears to be empty. It is just as it always has been except for brighter stains streaked across the walls like new paint, new flecks and chunks of bone scattered about the floor, and fresh flesh plastered about the room.

This is an original work, written by me, Alexandria J.
    Keep your creativity flowing!

Christmas for Nerds: The Lord of the Rings

So, it is Christmas time again. The one thing I hate about Christmas is the music, because everyone starts to play it way too early. That and the pressure put on you to find the perfect gift. You have to find gifts that other people will actually like. And today, I think I found the perfect thing.

Now, I will admit that I have not seen The Hobbit movie, nor have I read the book. I also have not seen all three of The Lord of the Rings all the way through. I have not read those books either, but I can still appreciate how popular it is. I also think it is kind of cool, though I am not completely addicted to it like some people are. Anyways, I found a pretty awesome present. Well, my friend found it first. She was the one online at the time.

If you know someone who is in love with anything Lord of the Rings then I have a good gift for you to get them. I found a Tungsten The One ring in black (which accents the script on the material). It is beautiful and perfect for fans of the movies. Plus, seeing as I found it on Cyber Monday, I got it for crazy cheap!
Isn't it beautiful?! Any fan of The Lord of the Ring, even someone who only likes it because the movie was "nice and action-y", will think this ring is awesome. Even someone who has no idea what The Lord of the Rings is will find it beautiful and elegant. It is just a bonus if you get it for someone who is actually in love with J.R. Tolkien's fantasy world.

Look it up on amazon.com . They have pretty good deals.

My Axe is my Buddy

So I have just discovered ICP (Insane Clown Posse). They are a band for those who don't know them. Now, if you listen to their music, you'll know how...insanely creepy their music can be, a bit gruesome at times, but I can't help but find them amusing. My best friend and I were up late last night looking up their songs on youtube, and we couldn't stop laughing. Look up their music, I dare you. Some of the songs we found more amusing were "My Axe", "Mr. Happy", and "Boogie Woogie Wu". Now, some of you might not like their music at all, but if you have a twisted sense of humor, then I think you'll love them just as much as I did. You just won't be able to help it.

Just Kicking Things Off

My very first week of college is done and over with, and you know what? I feel great! Okay, I’ll admit to feeling a little tired, what with summer just ending and me being used to sleeping in until noon every day, but other than that, I am loving the whole college experience. I only have two or three classes a day, and I have Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays off. The campus is huge and beautiful, with old buildings and a bell tower that tolls every hour. Then there are the teachers. They seem much more, for lack of a better term, laid back, and more likely to speak to us as adults then as oversized toddlers, like some of my high school teachers did. My English Comp. professor, for example, is pretty sarcastic, and he cusses a lot. I can not even explain to you how refreshing it is to be in a classroom setting and hear a teacher cussing up a storm instead of berating a student who let a single bad word slip out. Kind of reminds me of my grandfather, actually. One thing that I’m not sure about, though, is that one of my “professors” is only twenty-three years old. Twenty-three years old, can you believe it? He actually kind of reminds me of Dr. Sweets from the TV series Bones—great show by the way. I mean, is it a good thing or a bad thing that the guy who is supposed to be teaching me about the world is only five years older than me?
So anyway, my first week of college and I decided to go to the midnight premiere of The City of Bones on Tuesday. Can I just say, that movie was absolutely amazing. It followed the book much better than other movies have done, and only a few little details were changed or left out. The actor they chose to play Jace was not my favorite, when I first saw him, but as the movie went on, he grew on me. And oh, my dear god, did he have a nice body. It hasn’t even been a week and I already want to go see it again. Seeing it in theaters has made me want to read the entire series over again. It sucks though that I have to wait for the last book to come out.

Speaking of books, I need something new to read. I am waiting on several series to come out with their newest books, and as many people would agree, waiting sucks! I have a whole list of books I’m waiting on. I mean, can’t the authors write any faster? I know, I know, it takes time to write exceptional books, but what can I say? I’m not a very patient person.
